ISM abstract slot codes for the Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuroscience

Status: Open

Deadline: 9 May 2024

Funding body: FENS and SfN

FENS members can present an abstract and register for the SfN annual meeting under the same conditions as regular members of SfN via a system known as the ISM slot codes.

Upon registering for an ISM slot with FENS you will receive a unique code along with additional information on how to submit your abstract for SfN.

Please note that there is a limited number of codes available, so they will be given out on a first come, first served basis. If still available, you will receive your code in a separate email after we have verified the validity of your application.

Please note the following:

  • ISM code users cannot be paid 2024 SfN members; the code will not work for SfN members. If you currently have an SfN membership, please follow the normal submission process on SfN.org.
  • If you already have an account with SfN and do not know your login credentials, please reset your password; please do not create a new account.
  • SFN advises abstract submitters to begin the process as early in the submission window as possible and complete the submission in one session.
  • SfN is hosting a meeting with a virtual component. Therefore, abstracts may be presented virtually only if the submitter cannot or does not want to travel to Chicago.
  • ISM recipients will be able to register for the annual meeting at the member rate beginning on the nonmember registration day, July 16.

In order to apply for an ISM code, you must be logged in with a valid FENS member account and a form will appear on this page. If you have forgotten your FENS account details, please see here. If you still cannot see the form, your browser or network may be blocking scripts; you can try accessing the form from a different browser, internet connection and/or computer.

The call for 2024 slots will close on Thursday, May 9, at 5 pm Brussels time, so that the codes can be distributed in time for members to submit their abstracts. The SfN abstract submissions close on the same day at 23:00 Brussels time (5 pm EDT).
